About The Lemon Tree restaurant – Bishop’s Stortford

The Lemon Tree is owned and run by husband and wife team Luke and Sue Fishpool. Luke is the Chef and manages the efficient front of house team, whilst Sue selects the wine list and runs The Lemon Tree Outside Catering Service.

Professional food critics can be very demanding, but our chefs’ skills in the kitchen rarely fall short of expectations, as regular Lemon Tree customers can testify. Our chosen theme for the restaurant is modern British cuisine, with emphasis on local and regional ingredients. The menus are marked with L UK or E to indicate from where food has been sourced. L stands for produce from within a 50 mile radius, UK stands for anywhere in the UK, E stands for Europe and the occasional W indicates produce from anywhere in the rest of the world.

We intend to hold on to the restaurant’s premier status within the area. The welcoming ambience, perfectly prepared food and top quality service are all crucial to The Lemon Tree ‘experience’.
